About Times New

Times New was founded in 2017 by a group of journalists who had grown frustrated with the pace and format of digital news. We wanted to publish less, but better — to give writers the space to develop an argument rather than chase a headline, and to give readers something worth returning to.

We cover politics, culture, foreign affairs and sport. We do not cover everything. We are selective by design. An article that appears on Times New has been edited, fact-checked and considered. We are not a wire service.

Our editorial team is based in London. We have correspondents in several countries. We are funded by advertising and reader subscriptions and are editorially independent.
